The Big Picture
The HSA is an
inexpensive, high deductible medical plan that offers the
insurance policyholder the opportunity of saving tax favored dollars
in order to cover medical expenses. The HSA is the right
plan for healthy individuals and families who; 1.)
Anticipate limited need for medical care, 2.) Can afford a
high deductible - if it should occur, and 3.) Are wise
enough to profit from the tax-advantaged savings account
offered in the HSA. |

The Savings Plan
- Annual contributions up to $2,700
for individuals, $5,450 for families are tax-deductible
and grow tax-deferred.
- Withdrawals are federally
tax-free if used for qualified medical expenses.
- Savings can be used to pay for
other qualified medical expenses (e.i., OTC drugs,
eyeglasses, dental, etc.)
- Money not spent rolls over to the
following year.

The Health Plan
- Affordable premiums (about ½ the
price of a traditional PPO Plans).
- An annual deductible starting at
$2,400 for individuals and $4,800 for families (varies with
carrier).
- An annual out-of-pocket maximum of
$3,200 and $5,800 for Families (in and out-of-network
combined).
- Prescription copays of $10 for
generic and $30 for brand (subject to combined annual
deductible).
